TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. What is rating manipulation?
Rating manipulation happens when someone tries to artificially raise or lower the score of a whisky or brand. Examples include:
• Rating without tasting
• Giving extreme scores only to influence the result
• Creating multiple accounts to rate the same bottle
• Groups coordinating ratings
• Asking others to leave misleading ratings
This behavior harms the accuracy of the database.
