What are the costs when buying a bottle on the Marketplace?

There are no extra fees for buying bottles on the Whiskybase Marketplace. As a buyer, you only pay for the bottle price and the shipping costs set by the seller.

Sellers pay a small 8% Marketplace fee when they make a sale. This helps cover payment processing costs and keeps Whiskybase running smoothly. It also allows us to maintain a safe trading environment and continue developing new features that benefit both buyers and sellers.

Some sellers may choose to adjust their prices slightly to include this fee. Still, every purchase made through the Whiskybase Marketplace gives you access to secure transactions, reliable communication, and a trusted community of whisky enthusiasts from around the world.

If you are buying from outside the European Union, please be aware that customs fees, import duties, or VAT may apply in your country. These costs are the buyer’s responsibility, unless you and the seller have agreed otherwise.

Whiskybase cannot assist with or refund customs-related charges, so make sure to check your country’s import regulations before completing your purchase.
