After you sell a bottle, the payment is held safely by the Whiskybase Marketplace until the buyer confirms that the order has arrived and is in good condition. Once the buyer accepts the order, the payout is released to your account automatically.
When you ship the bottle, make sure to mark the order as Shipped on the order page and add the correct tracking information. The tracking data allows Whiskybase to confirm when the parcel has been delivered and helps keep the process transparent for both you and the buyer.
Your money will be released in two ways:
Buyer accepts the order
After the buyer receives the bottle, they must go to their Marketplace dashboard and mark the order as "Accepted". Once they do this, your payout is released automatically. If the buyer forgets to take action, Whiskybase will automatically send three reminders to encourage them to confirm receipt so that you receive your payment as soon as possible.
It can be good practice to send a polite message to the buyer to please confirm the order.
No buyer response after 7 days
If seven days pass after confirmed delivery (based on the tracking information) and the buyer has not accepted or declined the order, you can request a manual release of the payment by contacting the Whiskybase Team here.
All payments on the Marketplace are protected by an escrow system, which ensures that money is released only after the order is accepted or confirmed for release by Whiskybase.
Always keep all communication and updates within the order page so everything remains clear and traceable.
